Terms of service

These terms cover previews, website builds, hosting and payment with My Brand New Site, a business based in Georgia, USA ("we", "us"). "You" means the business that receives a preview or buys from us. Your quote or invoice sets the price and what's included. If it differs from these terms, the quote or invoice wins.
Free previews
A preview is free and comes with no obligation. We build it from your business's public website and listings so you can see the result before deciding. It's private: only people with your link can open it, and it isn't listed in search engines. If you'd rather we didn't have a preview of your business, tell us and we'll take it down.
Buying a site
- Price. A flat price, quoted before you pay. Your invoice lists each item separately.
- Payment. Unless your invoice says otherwise, half is due when you say yes, and the rest when your new site goes live. Invoices are paid by card or bank transfer through Stripe.
- Changes. Three rounds of changes are included. You leave notes right on your preview, and when you submit them, that's one round. We don't count fixes to our own mistakes. Further changes, or work outside what we agreed, are quoted before we do them.
- Your content. You confirm you have the right to use the text, photos, logos and other material you give us or that come from your current site. Where we add stock photos, we use ones that are licensed for commercial use.
Ownership
Once you've paid in full, the site we built for you is yours: its design, text and files. You can ask for a copy of the files at any time, and you can move them to any host. Your domain name stays registered to you. We keep the right to reuse our general know-how, tools and code patterns that aren't specific to your business.
Hosting and care plans
If you choose our hosting, the first year is included in the build price, unless your quote says otherwise. After that it continues on a monthly or yearly plan at the price on your quote, renewing automatically. You can cancel at any time before the next renewal by emailing us. When you cancel or leave, we give you a copy of your site's files, and we help you point your domain somewhere else.
Domains
Your domain stays in your name. If you ask us to manage it, we renew it on time as long as your plan is paid. If we can't reach you and your payments stop, we'll give you notice before letting anything lapse.
Refunds and cancellations
If you change your mind before work on your purchased site begins, we'll refund your deposit in full. Once work has started, the deposit covers the work done. If we can't deliver what we agreed, we'll refund what you paid for the undelivered part. If you have a problem with a charge, email us first at disputes@mybrandnewsite.com, and we'll make it right.
What we're not responsible for
We build and host sites carefully, but we can't promise they'll never be unavailable, or that they'll bring in any particular amount of business or search ranking. We aren't responsible for problems caused by your registrar, email provider or other services we don't control. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, USA. We may update them, and the date at the top shows the latest version. Changes don't affect work already invoiced.
