Privacy policy

My Brand New Site is a small business based in Georgia, USA. We rebuild websites for small businesses. This page explains what information we collect, why, who else handles it, and how to have it removed. Questions go to support@mybrandnewsite.com.
What we collect
- Public business information. To build a preview, we look at your business's public website and other public listings: your business name, address, phone, hours, services, text and photos. We only use publicly available pages.
- Contact details. The business email address or contact name we use to reach you, taken from your public website or listings.
- Emails you send us. Anything you send to an @mybrandnewsite.com address, including your name, email address and what you wrote.
- Feedback on your preview. Notes you leave on your preview site, the page and spot on the page they refer to, and when you left them.
- Payment details. When you pay an invoice, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your card or bank details. We see your name, email, billing address, the amount and the last four digits of your card. We never see or store full card or bank account numbers.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, time). Your preview link sets one cookie so the preview keeps opening for you, and the feedback tool saves your display preferences in your browser.
We don't use advertising trackers or sell analytics data, and our site has no third-party analytics.
How we use it
- To build your preview and, if you buy, your finished website.
- To contact you about your preview and answer your messages.
- To send invoices, take payment and keep business and tax records.
- To host your site and keep it working, if you choose our hosting.
- To keep a record of who has asked not to be contacted, so we don't contact them again.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your information. We share it only with the services that run the business, and only as much as they need:
- Amazon Web Services: hosts our website, previews and client sites, and receives our email.
- Stripe: processes payments and sends invoices and receipts. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Google: we send some email from Gmail and use Google sign-in for our own admin tools. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights in a dispute.
How long we keep it
Preview content and feedback are kept while a project is open, and deleted when you ask or when the project ends. Previews stop opening once a project closes. Invoices and payment records are kept as long as tax law requires. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we keep your email address or domain on a do-not-contact list so that we honor the request.
How we protect it
Everything is served over HTTPS. Previews open only with a private link. Our storage isn't public, only we can access it, and payment data stays with Stripe.
Your choices
- Stop hearing from us: reply "unsubscribe" to any email, or write to support@mybrandnewsite.com. We'll stop right away.
- See, correct or delete your information: email us and we'll do it, except for records we must keep for taxes.
- Take down a preview built from your site: ask, and we'll remove it.
Children
Our services are for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change matters for active clients, we'll tell them by email.
